Joe and Dave Herbert paraded through their hometown of Batesville, surrounded by cheering neighbors and friends, 6News' Ben Morriston reported. "I don't know them, but something like this never happened before to Batesville," said parade-goer Monica Livers. The brothers collected the largest pay check either has ever seen: $1 million, their prize for creating a Doritos ad voted the most popular during the 2009 Super Bowl. But the accolades didn't stop there. The mayor of Batesville handed the brothers a key the city and declared Thursday "Joe and Dave Herbert Appreciation Day." They were also given the state's Distinguished Hoosier Award. The brothers said they're taking it all in stride and plan on sharing the wealth. "Our cast and crew worked for free. They get a nice little bonus and we're going to invest in ourselves so we can continue doing this," Joe Herbert said. "The money will help financially, but I feel like the same person," Dave Herbert said. "I won't do anything differently. Now I have a job." The brothers have developed a board game and said they're hoping to get it on the market soon. Still, they won't likely forget their big break anytime soon: Besides the $1 million check, they were also given a year's supply of Doritos.
