Today's technology is simply amazing. This from someone who was born in the 50's and have watched , seen and experienced the advancements of it.
Insert a CD into the computer, connect a cable to the computer and the diagnostic port. Then you read on the computer monitor how long the subject has run and how much time it spent idling. Owner was amazed when he was told "It has been run 2 and a half hours and of that it idled for 15 minutes.
NOW here is why I say today's Technology is amazing. The diagnostic port was on a chainsaw. Yes amazing in itself, but even more amazing, to me , is that something could be small enough to be installed on a chainsaw that not only records the data, but that it also holds up to the chainsaw environment- heat, humidity , vibration.
Insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting different results.

On a chain saw. Sheesh! Betting that will be used for any warranty issues.

Possibly so. This was a Husqvarna saw. System is called Auto Tune
