Have a Polaris side by side in the shop. Will not run. After extensive testing of wiring, sensors, etc we have come to the conclusion the ECM is bad.
Now there are all kinds of ECm rebuilders for cars and trucks, but our search has turned up nothing for ATV's.
Anyone know of someplace that rebuilds these?

Thanks Dave. Sent the link to him earlier - I stayed home today - . Does not apply as the one in the shop is newer. We had the ECM open and could not see any bad circuits, no burnt smell. Have continuity through the ground terminal to the circuit board. But nothhing is grounding.Checked all the terminal pins for continuity from connector to circuit board , all ok.

Might want to re-solder the boards ground pins? To everything that goes to a ground strip? Like what happened on 98 caravan's dash when the lights go on and off. Hit the top of the dash and they come on.
Or wonder what they would charge for a replacement.
Or ebay.

re-solder was done when we had it apart just to be sure. Still would not run. Son priced a used one for $150, new is around $500 and a performance ECU was $250. At least I got to break out some of my electrical test equipment- Power Probe and something I have not used in years- my noid light. Now is when I wish I had a scope. Might still get one. Sons shop does a lot of , if not all the electrical work for the car lot. New stepper motors in GM instrument clusters, Ford radios needing re-solders , Ford instrument clusters with bad solder joints like the Caravan you mentioned.

New performance computer arrived this AM. Son programmed it, installed it and the Polaris is now running.
However if anyone does find someplace that will rebuild these, I would appreciate you posting a link.
