Cars make their way down Route F after heavy rain and wind passed through the Fulton area Wednesday evening. Tornado sirens blared throughout town earlier in the night as the National Weather Service issued a tornado warning for central Callaway County around 7:45 p.m. Though no damage was reported by the Callaway County Emergency Operations Center by press times, it was reported that a tornado did touch down just outside of Fulton.

Hi, Been thru a tornado once when I was around 15 years old. I lived 300 ft next to a rail road embankment. ( Tracks were street level till they built a bridge so the street could be beneath the R/R tracks. Raised the tracks about 60 ft above street level. ) I was outside watching it get closer. Wierd, the birds stopped flying around, wind got still. Everyone was holling at me to get in the basement & as a young idiot. I stayed out to watch it come at us. I was 5 seconds away for the basement door. Watched it get to about 1,000 ft away & I bailed to the basement. That tornado came up to the embankment & leaped over our house & came down on a house 5 doors up. Up-rooted a big tree & put it in their living room. No one was hurt as they were in their basement. After it passed, we all looked at the damage a tornado can cause. Dave
